Wheeless Victim 02

There are lots of motorists, like to park their car around our office area, just to save up monthly parking fees. Therefore, they'll come as early as possible, leave their cars around office, and walk 300-500m to work, or get a lift from colleagues or friends.

This is rather selfish and inconsiderate, as they are taking up parking spaces which belong to us. We have problems finding parking everyday, not to mention talents/clients that come to us daily.

By leaving their car behind, make them an easy target for car theft. And this are is a hot spots for that: smash car windows, car stereos, cars, and recently trend - 0 wheels!

This happened 2 hours ago. 1 passer-by witnessed and kind enough to inform us, thinking it's 1 of our colleagues' car. Fortunately, it isn't. Unfortunately, it happened again, 2nd victim since last week.

And the best part was, there's a police road block 200M from the crime scene.

To Car owner above:

the witness mentioned 2 Indians came with a white car (witness didn't manage to describe what model) - JDP 5252 (again... it happened so fast, the witness not sure it's JBP or JDP). However, we have lodged a police report.

ALL THE BEST... and please don't leave your or your colleagues cars here.

Thank you. Have a blessed week.

Restoran Sun Yen 新园茶餐室@ Section 17

People refer Restoran Sun Yen 新园茶餐室 as "the shop that serves game meat 野味 at Section 17", i.e. wildboar, deer, etc. AS there's a stall does serve such dishes.

It's been awhile since we came here for lunch, because we don't really fancy game meat 野味. However, we were there last week, because we really ran out of ideas where to have lunch. LOL~ There are other stalls too.

Our food

Hokkian Style Fried Kuay Teow (using Charcoal flame)

Believe it or not. Food that is cooked on charcoal/wood fire taste better. This dish is awesome! Perhaps like the Chinese old believes, cooked food must be blessed by good flame.

Curry Noodle

This curry noodle is quite happening. However, I ordered, as I'm more a dry meehoon:
Dry Mee Hoon with Curry Gravy

Kopi Ping (Ice Coffee)

I don't drink coffee, therefore, I can't comment much about this drink. However, I was told, the Kopi Ping is one of the famous drink here.

Facts
Besides the mentioned, there's a famous Bah Kut Teh stall at Restoran Sun Yen 新园茶餐室 too. I'll blog about that next time.

PWN!!!

I took this about one hour ago, when I was out for lunch.

My thoughts:
I think the driver and his partner, went for lunch, then came back, started the engine, however had forgotten the gear was shifted to 1st gear (for parking)...

poor fella! the boss will be so mad at you guys...

I'm not sure if there's anyone is seriously hurt, minor probably... but no casualties for sure. 'cos I checked! However, no signs of the driver and the passengers, tho'...

Little Wok 生記 @ How Ye Kee, Section 17

Little Wok 生記 is the main "kitchen" at Restaurant How Ye Kee, i.e. they serve Chinese a lar carte or "big fry". Their business starts from lunch til late dinner time. However, there's a break between 2.30pm to 5pm.

Little Wok 生記

My thoughts:
They have quite a variety of food on their menu. I probably need to cover them in 3-5 articles, because they are delicious!!!

So these were what we had for dinner:

Dish: Salted Fish with Pork Rice 鹹魚豬肉飯
Price: RM 4.50

Dish: Marmite Pork Rice 瑪蜜豬肉飯
Price: RM 4.50

Normally, we'll go for an extra egg.

Fried Eggs

one of the best drink in the world - Coca~Cola.

Facts:
Besides famous for their delicious+wide varieties, they are also well known for their fast cooking skills! There's one time, mob ordered his regular dish upon our arrival. While we were still deciding, his food arrived - fresh+hot!!! LOL~ no kidding!

"Seeing is Believing..."

Kampar Noodle 金寶粉@ How Ye Kee 好義記, Section 17

I went out for lunch pretty late today, around 3pm. And at that hour, it's very difficult to find food.

However, I just know the right place to go - Restoran How Ye Kee.

Restoran How Ye Kee

When I arrived, most of the stalls are cleaning up, thank goodness, Kampar Noodle is still available.

Kampar Noodle Stall

My thoughts:
Well, Kampar Noodle is the type you get to mix and match your food. Just walk to the stall, greet the uncle and aunty. Choose your items, leave the bowl there, tell uncle how do you like your noodle:
a) soup;
b) dry;
c) dried with curry gravy;

For today's lunch, I had:

Dish: Kampar Meehoon (dry) with 6 items
Price: RM 6.40

Facts:
Other then Kampar Noodle, you can try the wantan noodle, chicken rice & the popular "big fried" which is famous for their fast wok (available from lunch til dinner).

Kana Curry House @ Sec 17

Kana Curry House, I'm sure many people in PJ, have heard of this famous banana leaf rice restaurant at Section 17. Anyway...

For today's lunch, we had:

Dish: Kana Curry House's Banana Leaf Rice+Fried Chicken
Price: RM 12++

My thoughs:
Generally, I find Kana's food & drinks are nice, above lotsa Indian or banana leaf rice restaurants.

However, the best banana leaf rice for me, will still be Nirvana Restaurant at Bangsar. I'll blog about that another time... LOL~

Facts:
The best drink to go with banana leaf rice is nothing else, but a nice glass of Teh-O Ais Limau

Teh-O Ais Limau (iced chilled tea with lime)

Beside serving banana leaf rice, they also have the usual Mamak food, such as:

However, most of these food, will only available after 3pm onwards.

Char Siew Rice @ Restoran K. Intan

Another place for a good food@Section 17. This shop open from morning to afternoon, then evening to night.

Retoran K. Intan@Section 17

They serve rice and home made noodle, with the choice of char siew (BBQ pork), siew yuk (roast pork), wan tan or dumpling. You can have Bah Kut Teh as well.

For today's lunch, we had:

Dish: Char Siew+Siew Yuk Rice
Price: RM 3.50

Dish: Char Siew+Siew Yuk Noodle
Price: RM 3.50

Dish: Dumpling
Price: ??? (4got)

My thoughs:
The pork, both char siew (BBQ pork) and siew yuk (roast pork) are nicely flammed, the rice is just plain white rice, however, the killer app for me is the gravy - char siew (BBQ pork sauce!

as for the dumpling, inside is stuffed with minced pork with carrot and 1 prawn.

Facts:
The shop is runned by a Chinese guy and a girl. I'm not sure about their relationship, however, we always refer the shop as "leong gong poh", it means "couple" in Cantonese. LOL~

Almost forgot to mention, do put some "fried small red onion" upon serving, it goes with the rice or noodle.

I like to dine here, 'cos the place is not very crowded, service is not bad and food is nice.

I'll blog about the Bah Kut Teh next time.

Chicken Rice @ Lucky

Kedai Kopi Lucky@Section 17, is the type of kopitiam, where it's operated by 2 different tenants, i.e. day and night.

Kedai Kopi Lucky@Section 17

During day time, you get to choose variety of food from many hawker stalls; night time, one "Big Fry" stall, i.e. chinese à la Carte.

It's located just directly across the open car park from Restoran Say Huat.

For today's lunch, we had:

Dish: Roast Chicken Rice
Price: RM 3.50

Dish: Pork MeeHoon Soup
Price: RM 3.00

My thoughs:
Kedai Kopi Lucky got lots of nice food. They have chicken rice, char siew rice (BBQ pork), siew yuk (roast pork) rice, pork noodle, pork ball noodle, wan tan mee, curry mee, etc

My favourite is Roast Chicken Rice (which is the from main tenant). Their roast chicken is nicely roasted, with the semi-crispy skin attached to the white meat.

As for Pork MeeHoon Soup... I shall write about it another day. 'cos I preferred the dry version, not soup. Someone forced me to photograph the soup and post here... -_-"

Facts:
This couple is the Chicken Rice Stall owners.

The uncle and the aunty are nice people, however they have a unique way to communicate with each other/customers, especially when they are coordinating customers' orders.

The uncle will always be polite to all his customers, on the other end, the aunty will scold everyone (including the customers) when she's stressed. LOL~

but regulars will not be offended, 'cos we are used with it.

LOL~

I shall write about other food from Kedai Kopi Lucky another day (including night time's big fry. So if you happened to be around Section 17, don't forget to check out Kedai Kopi Lucky~lah.

Thai Fried Rice @ Say Huat, Section 17 PJ

Restoran Say Huat is a chinese Kopitiam, where you can find lots of stalls inside the shop, selling variety of food.

It's located at Section 17, Petaling Jaya, near the old Sentosa Cinema (which no longer exist, currently is an open-air car park - RM2 per entry *gulp~*).

For now, let's talk about the famous - Thai Fried Rice@Restoran Say Huat.

Price: RM4.50
What is served:
gravy, marinated chicken, fresh onion, spring onion, fried eggs and fried rice;

My thoughs:
Before you start, make sure you have everything on the plate mixed evenyly, to get the best out of it. What's so nice about this Thai Fried Rice, is actually the gravy.

The gravy some how able to connect the rest of the elements served, which brings out the taste, and make it delicious.

Because it serves with fresh onion, therefore, be prepared that you'll get onion breath after that!!!

Facts:
The name of the stall is actually called - Thai Fried Rice (in Chinese, I shall take a snapshot next time). The stall is actually runs by a couple - Chef (Chinese, husband I think) and Assistant (Siamese, wife I think), they have been operating there for at least 7 years. Besides Thai Fried Rice, they serve also Pineapple Fried Rice, Chestnut Fried Rice, Tom Yam Fried Rice, etc...
