WOW!!! I was at the Grand Finale of Malaysian Dreamgirl tonight.

I was there to replace my boss to do some social+PR work, to promote abt my company (which is something I really sux at... =_="). However, ended up having a good time witnessing such event for the first time.

It was certainly a great experience for me. I get to meet 12 stunning Malaysian Dream Girl - UP CLOSE & PERSONAL... but only I'm 50m away.

When I reached 1Utama around 6pm, there were already crowds flocking the entire Oval from LG to 3rd floor. I spotted:
• some contestants hardcore supportors;
• saw Kenny Sia, who is 1 of the judges... but I was too shy to go say "Hi..." >_<
• my gang from MNC;
• get to make a new friend - Ben (Nice to meet you, dude! ^0^);
• saw a buddy – Derric (thanks for sharing MDG Guide!);

Plus One Shabu Shabu 壹加壹

This is a new restaurant at 1Utama New Wing (1 floor below Shogun), serving Taiwanese Style Shabu-shabu.

Each table is installed with electric hot plate, where you cook your food with a pot. There's a power level attached to the table side, where you control the heat level.






You have a choice to order set, or a la carte (individual dish). There are few types of soup base, we had Pork Set Special and Japanese Miso Soup. Here're some of the food we tried, and we liked all of them.

Besides that, I had 2 bowls of rice. For some reason, not sure whether is the way they cook the rice or they used premium rice, the rice really taste good, smells good and feel good too.




By default, the drinks are freeflow. You get 3 choices - Nestle's Nestea: Ice Lemon Tea, Ice Peach Tea, and Orang Juice. If those are not your choices of beverages, you can order Premium Chinese Tea, and some other soft drinks.

The Soup is a bit tasteless for our taste, or it's probably suppose to be like that, I'm not sure. But don't worry, 'cos the food goes well with the variety choices of sauces available atthe Sauce Counter.





I'll definitely going back again. Do check this place out!

Christmas 2007 at 1Utama

I have an habit of visiting various shopping mall during Christmas month, to see the effort of each mall put in to live up the place. For this year... I'm pretty impressed with 1Utama New Wing.

It's so fun+magical to me!

This was the 1st Saturday of December, and look at the mood+atmosphere at 1Utama.





I must say, the management of 1Utama had really put in lotsa effort. Check out all the ornaments on each Tree. And there were dozens of Christmas trees. I really salute the team behind all this, not to mention those staffs/hired workers to put up all these.

Beard Papa's

Beard Papa's has been around at Jusco Supermarket, 1Utama (old wing). I just never border to give it a try, until yesterday. And it was a Love at First Bite experience!!!

I personally never like cream puff, because normally it's either the cream is not fresh, yucky and the puff is softed.

However, Beard Papa's is crispy & crunchy!

There are 2 flavours - Chocolate and Vanilla. Wildchild and I actually prefered the chocolate flavoured!






Besides cream puff, Chocolate Fondant is available too! We'll try out that next time.

NFC 1 Utama Fitness & Youthfest 2007

There's a collaboration event by the National Fitness Council and 1Utama over the weekend at 1U - NFC 1 Utama Fitness & Youthfest 2007.

The event includes activities/competitions like:

• the Battle of The Year Malaysia 2007;


• the One Challenge Table Soccer Championship 2007;


• the Malaysia DJ Battle Championship 2007;

We happened to be there to catch the Battle of The Year Malaysia 2007...

My thoughts:
We are living in a really really fast pace & high competition society. Due to that, many parents have to work extra hard, hoping to make a better living for their families, unfortunately, because of that, many times, they have neglected their children, which leads them to the wrong path.

It's sad, isn't it?

I strongly believe with more events/activities like this, will really help to introduce and promote healthy & fun ideas to the youth. With a sense of positive achievement, it'll do them real good.

However, parents shouldn't just push the responsibilities to 3rd party, parents should always be more supportive and encouraging to their children. Help your children to discover what's their talents. They need recognition from friends, teachers, schools, society, family and parents!!!

We have lots of talented young kids, that needs guidance assist them to discover their talents & passions.

I hope the ministry and private sectors will have more collaborations to organise more of such events for the youth.
